The characteristics of The Duck Boat Company's models that made them the first and the favorite blind-gunning platform for hunters around the country are not changing. But Olsen Marine is now using new Resin-Infusion construction method and making significant improvements to enhance the boats even further.

The TDB 14 SeaClass is designed with the same safety-minded features as our 17 SeaClass making it an incredibly stable platform even under heavy loads. When fully loaded, she draws only 6” of water, allowing hunters to get to that shallow water where the ducks like to gather. The hull shape and flotation makes the TDB 14 SeaClass an extremely safe and seaworthy boat for its size. Like the 17 she also has an ice breaking, Kevlar reinforced bow.

 

The 8’ by almost 4’ cockpit provides ample room for hunters, dog, and decoys. In addition to large bow area storage, there is dual shelving running the length of the cockpit, to give space for plenty of decoys and extra room for excess hunting and boat gear. The cockpit has molded-in non-skid, as does the foredeck and the motor well, giving traction on icy winter days that will not wear off.  It has a molded-in bilge well to keep the water away from hunter's feet, and an oversized 800GPH bilge pump to keep the water out of the boat. All of the electronics are waterproofed to ensure years of worry-free use, including LED cockpit and navigation lights, both 12V sockets, a USB charging port, and a reliable BlueSeas breaker panel.

 

Of course, there is also the original TDB Blind System that worked in conjunction with the TDB hull to change duck hunting forever. The sloping decks and blinds are designed to mimic the soft angles found in nature, which combined with the wide open tri-color camo pattern molded into the gel coat, make the boat disappear from both near and far. This blind, with the same wide open camo pattern as the hull, is made of coated 1000 Denier MilSpec UV-coated Cordura nylon with grassing loops that run down the length of it. Just like the 17, it is mounted to the deck with a bolt-rope system, eliminating the need for snaps. It is held up by aluminum tubing and comes with a rain top to configure so that hunters can shoot out of the top or from either side. The blind set also includes decoy shelf curtains and a motor cover made from the same material.
