The Duck Boat Company began its story in 1985 with the TDB 14 Classic. Almost 40 years later, the design is still recognized for its exceptional performance and safety. Olsen Marine, Inc. continues the tradition of building these boats with 100% hand-laid construction, but using modern materials to make them even more durable, safe, and stable for the tough conditions and loads that duck hunters often demand of their boats. Flotation is strategically located to prevent rolling even if swamped. The TDB 14 Classic is safe, versatile, comfortable for 2 hunters, and draws only 4” so that she is able to reach those ducks in the mudflats and marshes.

 

The TDB 14 Classic cockpit provides comfortable space (7’ x 3’) for 2 hunters, dog, and decoys. In addition to ample bow area storage, shelving runs the length of the cockpit, allowing space for decoys, hunting or boat gear. Non-skid on the cockpit floor and foredeck provides durable, long lasting traction for icy winter days, along with her ice breaking, Kevlar reinforced bow. She has a 500 GPH bilge pump to keep any collected water from spray, gear, or your dog, out of the boat. All electronics are waterproof to ensure years of worry-free use, including a reliable BlueSeas breaker panel.

 

Our 14 Classic model carries the famous original TDB Blind System that, along with our TDB hull, changed the duck hunting world forever. The sloping decks and blind mimic the soft angles found in nature and, combined with the wide tri-color camo pattern of the gel coat, help the boat disappear into its surroundings. This blind echoes the camo pattern on the boat and is constructed of coated 1000 Denier Cordura nylon with grassing loops down the length. It is mounted to the deck with a track system, eliminating the need for snaps. The blind system is supported by aluminum poles and comes with an adjustable rain top so hunters can shoot out the top or from either side. The set includes decoy shelf curtains and a motor cover.
